Hi

I have been trying to get the driver to work for OpenSuse 10.2 kernel
2.6.18.2-34-default. But the
xorg-x11-driver-video-7.2-33_openchrome.i586.rpm available on the website
for precompiled binaries (http://www.logix.cz/michal/devel/suse-openchrome)
is designed from the openchrome trunk, so i decided to
recompile the driver based on the guides available from openchrome.org.

I compiled the drivers based on the modular driver compilation of the
following guide
http://wiki.openchrome.org/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=Compiling+the+source+code
and the DRM using the following guide
http://wiki.openchrome.org/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=K8M890

After that im stuck. I can get SAX2 to recognize my via drivers. Please help
me out as to configure the Via k8m890 drivers for
opensuse. Also i use a ViewSonic LCD VSC VA702. When i try to modify the
xorg.conf to match the one given in the FAQs on the page with the
precompiled binaries, i get an OUT-OF-RANGE message and X doesnt load.

I saw another page available on the opensuse.org website
http://en.opensuse.org/VIA, is this relevant to OpenChrome drivers(vt3336).
I did the same as mentioned by the site and then still i get the same
message OUT OF RANGE.Please let me know.

P.S.: Is there any distro available on which the k8m890 has been
successfully installed. I don't mind migrating to any distro.

Thanks.
Antony FM
