Hmm.  I'm no expert on this subject but one thing that I notice is that your 1280x800_60.00 modeline says it is using a hsync of 49.68kHz while the log is saying that the monitor is using a default hsync range of 31.50-37.90kHz.  Perhaps this is an issue?
