I have a single 512MB DIMM too, a Kingston Value one, untweaked.

Identical here, except mine's on IRQ 5 which it shares:
   5: 98985553 XT-PIC uhci_hcd, uhci_hcd, eth0,
via at pci:0000:01:00.0

So mine might be expected to be slow, with my USB ADSL modem and
ethernet interface sharing an IRQ with the graphics.

iirc there were some substantial improvements made, it might be worth
trying something more recent. But from what others have said here, it
won't fix problems playing Flash, because the Flash player wouldn't take
advantage of hardware acceleration anyway.

Cheers,

John.
