[Openchrome-users] Non-native panel resolutions

Hi,

   I'd like to use the same graphics on two cle266 units. One with a
1024x768 panel and the other with a 1280x1024 panel. I can't set the
higher native resolution panel to use 1024x768 also as
"ViaPanelGetIndex: Non-native resolutions are broken."

I can see in via_mode.c/ViaPanelGetIndex() the code aborts if it's not
the native resolution of a panel. Is this because of hardware
limitations? I thought that panels usually had hardware scaling, I'm
probably completely wrong on this point!

Would this be a big job to fix and could anybody give me any pointers on
where to start please?
