Hi Eward,

My machine does not crash anymore after disabling the AGPDMA:
Option     "EnableAGPDMA"               "false"

I am now using the latest stable gentoo:
libdrm 2.3.0
mesa 6.5.2-r1
xorg-server 1.3.0.0-r1
gentoo-sources 2.6.22-r9 (drm form kernel)


The screen is still bad, googleearth is truncated, but at least it
does crash.

Let me know about the result in your case,
