hi,
i need some help for setting up my via epia en 12000 with a lcd (via
vga) running on 1440x900
while searching the web, i found your project and a topic here,
someone applied a patch to enable this resolution on the via source:

but this is not for cn700 and this is not openchroma
i tried kubuntu 7.10 with ubuntu package for via graphic (something
xorg unichrom...). this was the best i got, i saw the resolution
1440x900, but pressed a bit together and on the right side i had a
black vertical stipe. also i tried to compile the via source and it
will not compile, because of an other makefile generated, i tried this
on my laptop (t40 debian 4.0) just to try to compile it, here it was
working to comile.
now i reinstalled debian 4.0 on the epia and used this patch
i apply the patch and can compile,
bios is now 1.07 but nothing changed
i know this here is the openchrome mailing list and has nothing to do
with the own via source stuff.
so now some questions after trying for weeks now:
1. is the res. of 1440x900 possible under linux with this hardware and
openchrome?
2. i see the via driver source, and your openchrome project and some
ready to use binarys, where is the working tutorial / what can i do to
start clean from new?
3. ubuntu 7.10 is i think too new for this diver, i tried the debs.
and checked out the cvs, nothing was working, better debian etch oder
sid?
4. how can i find out more to solve my problem, because i want a
silent and lowpower pc and do not want to use windows?
so it would be great, i almost can read c, if someone can help me,
