Same here for my VIA card (and IDE controller):

$ lspci -vv |grep -i unknown
00:0f.0 IDE interface: VIA Technologies, Inc. Unknown device 5324 (prog-if
8a [Master SecP PriP])
        Subsystem: VIA Technologies, Inc. Unknown device 0581
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. Unknown device
3157 (rev 03) (prog-if 00 [VGA])
        Subsystem: Unknown device 0908:1975

$ sudo lshw -C video
  *-display
       description: VGA compatible controller
       product: VIA Technologies, Inc.
       vendor: VIA Technologies, Inc.
       physical id: 0
       bus info: pci at 0000:01:00.0
       version: 03
       width: 32 bits
       clock: 66MHz
       capabilities: pm agp agp-3.0 vga bus_master cap_list
       configuration: latency=64 mingnt=2

But that's just a cosmetic problem, I guess...
