Hello list,
I installed the driver according the instructions on http://wiki.openchrome.org/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=Compiling+the+source+code
then I changed xorg.conf:
Identifier "Card0"
Driver "via"
Option "EnableAGPDMA" "On"
Option "ForcePanel"
VendorName "Unknown Vendor"
BoardName "Unknown Board"
BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
(I also tried without the Options "EnableAGPDMA" "On", "ForcePanel", and with Driver "openchrome")
But when I restart the x server there is only a black screen and nothing happens. Xorg.0.log says:
X Window System Version 1.3.0
Release Date: 19 April 2007

(II) Primary Device is: PCI 01:00:0
(EE) No devices detected.
Fatal server error:
no screens found
The vesa driver 'works', except the flickering and the inability to watch films.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance
Best regards
Martin
