Comment:

 The customary way to see what versions of X modules one has is to look in
 the Xorg.0.log file.  Instead of looking though the file yourself, let
 grep help you:
 'grep -A1 openchrome /var/log/Xorg.0.log'

 The (4) at the top has always been there.  Look at other man pages, they
 all have a single number there between parentheses; it is the "man
 section" the page is in.  The openchrome version number is listed at the
 bottom of the page.
