Right On! Oh that's nice now! Thank you.
Checkout At revision 516.

I don't know if details are important to this list, but I hate finding a
thread about my driver & hardware, only to find no details.
Stop reading now if not interested.

I downloaded the ebuild from a site that is gone now.
so I placed ebuild file here: http://pastebin.ca/862351

I created my overlay area:
mkdir -p /usr/local/portage/x11-drivers/xf86-video-openchrome

Added to make.conf
echo 'PORTDIR_OVERLAY="${PORTDIR_OVERLAY} /usr/local/portage"' >>make.conf

Unmasked.
echo 'x11-drivers/xf86-video-openchrome **' >> /etc/portage/package.keywords

Installed.
emerge --update --newuse --deep -ta x11-drivers/xf86-video-openchrome

It Build successfully from trunk (At revision 516). Yay!

eix -I x11-drivers/xf86-video-openchrome

A look at what was installed
eix -I x11-drivers/xf86-video-openchrome
