I'm just sending some feed-back for k8m890 on my Amilo La1703 notebook. I emerged openchrome on Gentoo but i have the same problems with both versions of the openchrome in the official portge tree.
The first thing i've noticed is that the hardware cursor doesn't work. If the hardware cursor is not a priority maybe it would be better if it would be disabled by default for k8m890.
Now the real problem. I've tried many options for the drivers but i still couldn't make xv work with the media players. Also when i press Ctrl+Alt+F1 the system locks. This means that i can't shut down or restart properly the notebook. Attached are the xorg files. The kernel is gentoo-sources-2.6.25-r1. and xorg-server-1.3.0.0-r5
