----------------------------------------------------+-----------------------
Reporter: Stefan Becker <stefan.becker at nokia.com> | Owner: somebody
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: major | Component: dvi-out
Version: | Resolution:
Keywords: DVI, CN700 |

Changes (by gvy):
* type: enhancement => defect
Comment:
The workaround fully helped for hp neoware ca22 (1106:3344, sub-id the
same so likely omitted) running rev 595:
{{{
(--) PCI:*(0 at 1:0:0) VIA Technologies, Inc. UniChrome Pro IGP rev 1, Mem @
0xf4000000/0, 0xfb000000/0, BIOS @ 0x????????/65536
[...]
(--) CHROME(0): Chipset: P4M800Pro/VN800/CN700
(--) CHROME(0): Chipset revision: 0
(--) CHROME(0): Probed amount of VideoRAM = 16384 kB
[...]
(--) CHROME(0): Detected VIA VT3344 (VM800) - EPIA EN.
}}}
that is, 17" TFT attached via DVI was set to 1280x1024; xorg.conf and
resulting Xorg.log available here:
* https://bugzilla.altlinux.org/attachment.cgi?id=2997
* https://bugzilla.altlinux.org/attachment.cgi?id=2998
Found no BIOS updates for this "thin" client; when connected via VGA,
works OK.
PS: setting type to "defect" as this issue bars the ability to use DVI-
connected monitor without quirks or other problems.
