#256: crash on vga_setmode(TEXT);
------------------------+---------------------------------------------------
Reporter:  slidercrank  |       Owner:  somebody
    Type:  defect       |      Status:  new
Priority:  critical     |   Component:  modesetting
 Version:               |    Keywords:  svgalib vga_setmode
------------------------+---------------------------------------------------
 The version of the openchrome driver I use (the latest available in a
 fedora repo) seems to fail to switch back to a text video mode when
 svgalib is used.
 It doesn't matter whether X server is running or not - the result is
 always the same - black screen w/o any chance to restore the screen until
 reboot
 It should be noted that other graphics function seems to be working. The
 crash occurs on exit only. On the same system I got a graceful exit with a
 geforce card

 PS: I'm developing a program for an embedding system with an integrated
 unichrome card. That's why I've marked the problem as a critical one.

 See the attached file for the information about my system and a minimal C
 code to produce the crash.
