Dear all,

My config is:

- CX700 chipset

- Ubuntu 8.04

- Via board epia p700

- Driver via_drv.so in /usr/lib/xorg/modules/kernel

My objective is: Rotate my screen 90? degree right (doing xrandr -o right)

I have installed the drivers from the linux.via.tw webpage and I got some
xorg.conf file from VIA.

In the xorg.conf file they gave me, an option in section server layout is
option ?RandR? ?false?

meaning that xrandr should not be used.

When removing this line and rebooting, then xorg.conf failed a popup appears
with bad sreen resolution displayed.

Then when typing xrandr -o right on a command prompt I have errors like
?opcode minor 155? and ?badmatch?.

My questions are:

I do I enable xrandr and do not get this error displayed ?

Is xrandr supported by the VIA driver ?

Thank in advance for your help,

Best Regards,

Guillaume
