 Inverting the "pScrn->bitsPerPixel != 8" at line 2551 didn't change
 anything in 24bpp, but it made xgamma do nothing in 8bpp.

 The palette_vm800.patch didn't help.


 A small correction on behavior in 8bpp (unchanged r819):
 xgamma in 8bpp doesn't work correctly - the changes are cyclical (for
 example -gamma .5 is "brighter" than -gamma 1). In 24bpp there are no
 visible changes at all.
