Comment(by Bartosz Brachaczek):

 The above applies to Gentoo Linux I use. I also noticed an interesting
 (for me) error in Xorg.0.log:
 {{{
 (II) CHROME(0): [dri] Using AGP.
 (II) CHROME(0): [drm] Using 64929776 bytes for DRM memory heap.
 (II) CHROME(0): [dri] Frame buffer initialized.
 (II) CHROME(0): [DRI] installation complete
 (II) CHROME(0): [dri] Kernel data initialized.
 (II) CHROME(0): [drm] IRQ handler installed, using IRQ 16.
 (EE) CHROME(0): [drm] Failed to initialize DMA ring-buffer: 22
 (II) CHROME(0): direct rendering enabled
 (II) CHROME(0): Allocated 8192 kiB of AGP memory for EXA scratch area.
 Fulfilled via DRI at 4096000
 }}}

 But I also tried with Ubuntu 8.10 and I '''always''' get the same error as
 gang65 or when running Gentoo with "DRI" Section. I don't know why.
