 gang65: yes, it works, thanks, but I'm not happy with this solution.
 Actually using legacy only in:[[BR]]static Bool VIAWriteMode(ScrnInfoPtr
 pScrn, DisplayModePtr mode)[[BR]]makes the trick as well.

 I'll post patch on openchrome-devel.
