 Too bad the first hunk wasn't enough, there is more to this issue than a
 reserved bit then. I have no hardware so someone else has to do the
 debugging.

 It would be interesting to find out how many times and how often
 ViaLVDSDFPPower() is called. Please add a debug output at the top of the
 function with a precise timestamp and the value of the parameter ''on''.

 After that, it would be useful to know if the problem occurs when ''on''
 is true, or false. To find out, comment one hwp->writeSeq() call at a time
 and do some network experiments while trying to provoke the problem.
 Reboot between each test to always have a known state. This will require
 some patience.
