Bah. I thought it did. I can't remember my trac login or even which
variation of my email address I used. Poor chap will just have to work
it out on his own then...

I was going to say he should add a Modeline if his monitor's not
supplying one. Perhaps the one gtf would produce:
   $ gtf 1920 1080 60
   # 1920x1080 @ 60.00 Hz (GTF) hsync: 67.08 kHz; pclk: 172.80 MHz
   Modeline "1920x1080_60.00"  172.80  1920 2040 2248 2576  1080 1081
1084 1118  -HSync +Vsync
or cvt:
   $ cvt 1920 1080 60
   # 1920x1080 59.96 Hz (CVT 2.07M9) hsync: 67.16 kHz; pclk: 173.00 MHz
   Modeline "1920x1080_60.00"  173.00  1920 2048 2248 2576  1080 1083
1088 1120 -hsync +vsync
or CVT with reduced blanking:
   $ cvt -r 1920 1080 60
   # 1920x1080 59.93 Hz (CVT 2.07M9-R) hsync: 66.59 kHz; pclk: 138.50 MHz
   Modeline "1920x1080R"  138.50  1920 1968 2000 2080  1080 1083 1088
1111 +hsync -vsync

But of course this doesn't solve the problem of it not being auto-detected.

Cheers,

John.
