 Whenever I open acroread/gnucash the X server just dies without any trace
 left. This problem is there since more than 6 month but I was able to
 avoid it by installing the latest mesa. Now this does not work anymore.

 If I use
 Option "NoAccel" "true"
 then problem is gone but the dispaly is very sloooooooow.
