Hi all,
I finally had my good old epia M10000 working in 1920x1200 using depth 16 in my xorg.conf,
xf86InitialCheckModeForDriver(0x83e3b38, 0x83e6318 1920x1200, 0x83e76e0, 0x1, 33
44, 0, 0)
(II) CHROME(0): ViaValidMode: Validating 1920x1200 (Clock: 154000)
(II) CHROME(0): ViaFirstCRTCModeValid
(II) CHROME(0): ViaComputeDotClock 154000 : 0000 : 042b
xf86CheckModeForMonitor(0x83e6318 1920x1200, 0x83d6ad0 Hanns G 28)
but when I try to use depth 24 the driver complains about bandwidth and I'm back to a lower resolution.
(II) CHROME(0): ViaValidMode: Validating 1920x1200 (154000)
(II) CHROME(0): ViaFirstCRTCModeValid
(II) CHROME(0): ViaComputeDotClock 154000 : 0000 : 042b
(II) CHROME(0): Required bandwidth is not available. (552500789 > 498000000)
(II) CHROME(0): Not using driver mode "1920x1200" (mode clock too high)
I suppose it may be a normal situation with that hardware and what I'm asking it to do.
But, I would like to know, does anyone know what is this bandwidth thing ?
Fran?ois
