 opengl apps do not display correctly - see attached image of glxgears
 application for example. This occurs regardless of monitor size resolution
 or whether app is run windowed or fullscreen window.

 i have also attached Xorg log


 also below some system info obtained using 'dmesg | grep -e agp -e drm'
