 Hi there! I use ArchLinux, too, and I'm having the same problem.  My
 working installation is based on Debian with the old driver v0.2.903.

 I tried all four options you suggest and none of them changed the result:
 my CRT TV still seems to be out of sync.  I hope this can help you.  If
 you want me to perform any more test...
