 I can't tell whether this is a good news: I applied the patch from the
 link above to my working compilation and everything still works.  Commit
 787 introduced no regression.

 I use resolution 720x576 (PAL).  Anyway, all PAL and NTSC resolutions I
 tried suffer from the same problem.
