Comment(by fpradines):

 Let's see.[[BR]]
 The only line modified in your patch is in via_mode.h:[[BR]]

 {{{
 #define VIA_BW_DDR400   553000000 /* > 1920x1200 at 60Hz at 32bpp */
 }}}

 but I think that's already in trunk (svn told me : Actualis? ? la r?vision
 856.).[[BR]]
 As you can see in the Xorg.0.log file I attached :[[BR]]

 {{{
 (II) CHROME(0): Detected MemClk 4
 }}}

 my memory module is detected as described in via_bios.h :[[BR]]

 {{{
 #define VIA_MEM_DDR266  0x04
 }}}

 because last time I choose something in my bios menu, it was 133Mhz.[[BR]]
 For the record, the memory module is pc2700 able to run at 333Mhz,
 something the good old mother board should not be able to use at full
 speed.[[BR]]
 I know, the hardware can't do what it's doing, I should remove my
 modifications and forget it, but I'm in front of it and I can't imagine
 what I will find if I dig a little bit.
