 I experience lock ups on my NC20 (Ubuntu 9.04, 2.6.28-18) as late as Dec
 09. In my observation it used to happen more when I use mplayer (I like
 its fast fast forward/rewind with arrow keys). But with VLC player I do
 not remember having seen lock ups. It looks like the lock up is more when
 I try to resize the video or try to play a partially downloaded video
 (possible with the preview option in ktorrent). Some more information and
