 Hello,

 Using openchrome (Debian Squeeze) without xorg.conf causes a laptop LCD
 panel to blank at startx. The GUI is "working" but isn't visible: I can
 access the menu via keyboard and exit cleanly despite the blank screen.
 I'm attaching the Xorg.O.log and a verbose lspci

 graphics card info from lspci:
 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. CN896/VN896/P4M900
 [Chrome 9 HC] (rev 01)

 message from Xorg log:
 Unknown Card-Ids (3371|1509|1D41) Chipset: P4M900/VN896/CN896; please
 report to openchrome-users at ...

 On the ot causes screen to blank and computer to freeze. I can't access a
 console and have to hard reboot. Seems no Xorg.0.log is produced.

 Using vesa with xorg.conf works up to 1280 x 720 (using wmxres to cycle
 thru) but is ugly

 Please include card id:  3371|1509|1D41
