Hi Damian,

It's unclear which driver you are actually using. The package name you
provide in your first mail seems to suggest you are using a binary
driver from VIA. But later in the mail, the log extract is from
openchrome. Then in your second mail, your're back to the VIA driver.

Please follow this instructions to install latest version of openchrome :
http://www.openchrome.org/trac/wiki/Installation?version=19#InstallfromGIT

As you're on a 64 bits OS, add '--libdir=/usr/lib64' to the configure line.

If you're still having issues, please provide the full xorg log.
