 Thanks for the logs and tests, it provides several useful information.
 Both 0.2.906 and 0.3.1 are unable to get an EDID, althought get-edid does
 find one. That in itself is a bug that would need to be tracked down, but
 is not a regression.
 However, the driver behaviour has changed between 0.2.906 and 0.3.0. When
 0.2.906 will go on w/o an EDID and enable VGA output with X default
 timings, 0.3.1 will just disable the VGA output without any way to force
 enable it. That is the real regression and the driver should fall back to
 X configuration when auto-configuration doesn't get a working setup out of
 the box.
