Would it be okay if you can repost this bug report at bugs.freedesktop.org ?
It is not your fault not posting the bug report over at bugs.freedesktop.org, but just for your information, here is the detailed instructions on how to do it.
The following is an excerpt from the OpenChrome Version 0.4.0 README file.

__________________________________________________________________________

Where to File a Bug Report
--------------------------

In order to file a bug report, please visit http://bugs.freedesktop.org.
When you file the bug, file it against "xorg." When specifying the
component, please select "Driver/openchrome." This allows a message to
be sent to openchrome-devel mailing list, so that developers can be
notified of the bug.
It is highly recommended to file the bug report over at
http://bugs.freedesktop.org rather than sending a message to
openchrome-devel mailing list. Also, filing a bug report against the
Linux / BSD distribution you are using (i.e., Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora,
etc.) will likely be a waste of your time since the developers for those
distributions do not directly work on developing OpenChrome.
__________________________________________________________________________

Also, you will like to attach Xorg.0.log to the bug report since that gives more detailed information on what is going on.
Just for your information, currently there is no OpenGL acceleration for VIA IGP and the new DRM module supporting KMS is not ready for mainline kernel inclusion (it exists, but there are number of issues with it).
Eventually, when the OpenChrome UMS (User Mode Setting) code becomes much more reliable and support more display devices, I will likely put more time into adding acceleration support for KMS code.
If I were to work on OpenGL support, it will be after KMS support is completed.
If there is someone who wishes to work on OpenGL support right now, I will be more than happy to let that person work on it.
