I really liked the article, especially this three ideas:
* Each font needs a wiki page, to collaborate the development
* Each font needs a forum for criticism and collect other resource and
discussions.
* Each font needs versioning, and visual feedback which glyphs changed
between the two versions. (and can be discussed at the forum)

I think the forum is more appropriate as the mailing list because of the
many posted images.

Im interested in this two area:
* Fixing the fonts for hungarian language, so this mean basically to add
this four letters to the font:
http://www.myfonts.com/character.php?id=0151
http://www.myfonts.com/character.php?id=0150
http://www.myfonts.com/character.php?id=0171
http://www.myfonts.com/character.php?id=0170

* Create the bitmap version of the specified font for the screen usage.
(I dont like the antialiasing, if I need I put off my glasses;)

It wasnt mentioned in the article, but I think its obligatory to do:
* We must create free equivalents of these fonts:
arial, times, verdana, courier
helvetica,
bitstream vera (the license not allow to developpe the font under the
same name, so there is many fork of the font, each fix some languages)

And prompt the free softwares to replace the font glyphs if its not
embedded in the document. So basically this is a font replace alias
table. (I think of evince, kpdf, openoffice, pango (inkscape) and
scribus)

* We must document the steps of the font developping and create an
unicode capable reference font and provide the source too (fontforge
file)

Best regards,
 Khiraly
