Hmm. Compared to the time spent working on glyphs, making a Fontlog file 
seems pretty easy and not very annoying. It's a list of contact details, 
along with dates and a very short summary of the work done. Are you 
troubled by the idea of putting these details online?

Renaming seems like it's essential since a remix/derived typeface needs 
to be identified as such (otherwise it will be hard to find in the font 
menu...)

Can you explain why these things are annoying?
