Creating a site which shows very large rasterized versions of each glyph
of all fonts regardless of copyright status could have uses which are both
beneficial to the common good such as enabling a site like OFLB to realize
the latest upload puts a copyrighted font on their hands, but of course some
dastardly person could trace the outlines from copyrighted fonts to create
a cloned font. Doing that would also be a rather large project which would
require many "librarians". I think it would be a worthwhile and legal to
do project, but on the other hand, it would have to somehow keep people from
countries where typefaces are copyrightable from visiting the site(not
really possible). Also, there is this little teensy thing called ethics which
gnaws at me while thinking about this idea.
