[OpenFontLibrary] Upload *any* SIL OFL fonts?

So this might be the one silly question I should not have asked but:

Is there any law/rule/reason why a non-author should hesitate uploading 
ANY font under the SIL OFL to OFLB?
(and thereby cloning the google repository more or less :P)

Since nobody has started any attempts to do that lately I can only 
assume it is due to the website construction, or because there IS a 
problem somewhere.
