[Openicc] RI and default editing profiles

Hello all,

what is the opinion about such extended settings like rendering intent 
for each default editing colour space (Rgb, Cmyk, XYZ, Lab)?

Does it make sense for the os level? Or is it more useful to handle such 
things internal of complex applications like RIP's ...
