Please be aware of fundamental errors in this article.

Adobe Photoshop's working spaces are not scene-referred, but 
display-referred, which is one form of output-referred.
The most common working spaces in Photoshop are sRGB and Adobe RGB. 
The standards documents specify these as being display-referred.
ProPhoto RGB is based on ROMM RGB which is output-referred.
