Since I started OpenCTL [1] to solve that issue. I do think that an ICC to CTL 
conversion is still something interesting. I also started to write some sort 
of CTL profiles (you can see an exemple here [2])

Since SampleICC has a 4-clauses BSD licence, it has licence issue with GPL 
programs.
