This works for targets, but doesn't work for application prematching. In the case of application prematching, there is still a reasonable desire to be able to soft proof the PDF print spool file, for example. So the objects in the PDF can't be immutably flagged for no color management, and it seems PDF/X3, 4, 5 provide a means to say "do not further color manage, unless outputting to a device other than describe by OutputIntent/Condition."

The catch is if PDF/X3, 4, 5 in fact don't support RGB OutputIntents.
