If the ICC wants to host this sort of space, that's fine. But I tend to agree that they are configured for standard characterization data sets. Not potentially hundreds of inkjet characterization sets.
Does anyone know if *cupsICCProfile supports URLs? It would be really frigging cool if we could have those profiles off of the computer, locally cached. So if you don't have a network connection, there'd be a fall back profile. But if you had internet access, you could get the latest profile for that printing condition automagically. I've always wanted this...
