Hello Edmund,
If You do softproofing during retouch, you probably have an application
with advanced colormanagement capabilities. Most of this applications
allow also application based colormanagement for the printing path.
Here, the idea of embedding the driver settings into the ICC profile via
dictType Metadata is a very big help.
The user chooses his printer profile and the driver is setup
automatically with the correct settings without any user inventions.
