You're not the only person - I print pre-targetted data on a daily basis 
at work.  The reason I do so is because I need to apply an individual 
geometric adjustment to the CMYK channels.  This, of course, would be 
horribly messed up if the RIP applied any further colour transforms 
afterwards.
