Today, yes. In the future we will provide a way for the client to retrieve the server profiles remotely.

Today, locally-installed/registered profiles (via ColorSync Utility) have to be manually selected in the ColorSync pane of the print dialog, otherwise the default vendor profile (from the PPD) will be chosen.

They can be specified by the application, but there is no standard UI in the print dialog.
