My calculation is different.
Precondition: without ICC profile creation no ICC profiles.
The above workflow makes sense for ~95% of users, who wish to obtain
good working ICC profiles from a specialist like Alastair and others.
There might be ~5% of users, who rely solely on suboptimal ICC profiles
from predefined presets. Given the burden of buying a measurement device
in the first place and then getting sub results is not so much pleasure.
Spreading such profiles will affect other innocent users too wasting
material, time and last but not least confidence.

I dont say " Choose Profile -> Implies Printer Settings paradigm" should
be the only one. Its just important to have in the toolbox.
