That makes it rather awkward to re-calibrate. One of the points of calibration
is to keep the device calibrated, so that the re-profiling is not needed.
Having the actual calibration data embedded in the ICC profiles means that
when you re-calibrate, you have to locate all profiles that depend on
that calibration and re-embed the data.

Embedding the calibration itself in the profile is actually the wrong
thing to do. You want to embed the calibration aim points (or "target printing
conditions") in the profile, so that you can: 1) re-calibrate to the appropriate
aim points for a particular profile or profiles and 2) match the profile
calibration aim points with the calibration that currently achieves
the aim points when each job is printed.
