[Openicc] what happens on Quantal and Raring when printing to a printer with no associated profile?

Hi

 I wonder - what happens on Ubuntu Quantal and Raring when printing from
CUPS to a printer with no associated profile?

 What is the status of the switch to turn CM off on a queue- is it
necessary on Quantal and Raring?
