filenames without .p11-kit suffix and p11-kit-trust

Does p11-kit-trust process the [p11-kit-object-v1] syntax in files that are
loaded from the trust source directory, but which have a filename that doesn't
have the .p11-kit suffix?

My reason for asking is, I used a symbolic link that can point to alternative
inputs for p11-kit-trust, the name of the symbolic link currently doesn't end
with .p11-kit, and it would be rather painful to change the name of that file,
including migration etc.
