Recent versions of Qt 4 use glib as their mainloop if glib is available I do
believe

Subject: [packagekit] QT frontend for PackageKit
Hi,
I'd be willing to work on a Qt frontend for PackageKit. I've been using
Qt 4 for quite a while now, though I'm not a complete guru yet :-p. Of
course, if other people are motivated I'd be glad to be part of a team.
I did not look yet at libpackagekit's code, but I think one of the
difficuties we'll be facing is that Qt has its own main loop, so using
glib signals might not be straightforward. Actually, I don't really know
yet how I'll tackle this problem, but that does not mean there's no
solution to it. The GUI part should be less difficult, as we already
have pk-application as an example, and Qt designer is quite powerful.
For now my two main objectives are : look at how I can use glib signals
with Qt's event loop, and then create a simple mockup.
As I'm new to the ml, I also add a quick self introduction : I'm a 19
year old french learning computer sciences at the ENSIMAG (school of
applied math and informatics of Grenoble).
I hope I hear from other Qt coders soon
