I think it could be an option in the preferences Gui :
Popup menu "When on battery" shows 1. Don't perform any update 2.
Perform only security updates 3. Perform all updates.
Taking into account "low on battery" is quite a challenge, since every
battery is different. "On battery" alone is enough to me.
