Define plugin stuff? I really don't think compiling from source is the
job of a package manager.

Being blunt -- I don't think you need an abstract UI when you have an
abstract backend. The whole point of PackageKit is so you can have a
lightweight GNOME frontend, a KDE frontend, a XFCE frontend etc.

Sure, I'm just being protective of KPackageKit -- the library is already
really good and the UI is looking sleek. Just be careful adding too much
functionality and compromising the work already done. Just my 2 cents.
