Well now we need to see if this is possible by the backends

The GUI only has an option to auto-install. While that of course
includes downloading, it is far from desirable for some people to have
something installed while they aren't even at the computer. However, it
is incredibly convenient to have the updates already downloaded and
ready to install when you get back from work or wherever (especially if
you have a low-speed connection, or if there are many/large updates).
